Photography Around Bluff, Utah – 2020

Three Kiva Pueblo - Montezuma Creek Canyon - Utah

(October, 2020) As noted in our previous post, we spent autumn in Bluff, Utah, visiting with long-time good friends Joyce and Paul M.; seeing many sights in the area; and taking photographs. Paul and I took many photo outings to interesting locations around Valley of the Gods, Comb Ridge, Montezuma Canyon, McElmo Canyon, and other sites around Bluff. I also took quite a few solo photo outings.

Our photo outings included a mix of both day and night photography. Depending on subject matter and desired artistic goal, I shot with either a normal camera or a camera modified for enhanced color infrared (665 nm). In post processing of the images I further decided whether the image would present best in color or benefit from conversion to black and white. I hope you enjoy the results!

And now, on to photography around Bluff, Utah.

Wrap Up

As always, our time in Bluff seemed way too short, but we were glad to have had time with our friends and to have gone on so many photo outings. Bluff and the surrounding areas have so many wonderfully photogenic natural features and cultural sites that it’s had to know where to even start! We will just have to return many more times to find new and interesting photographic subjects.

That’s all for now – I hope you have enjoyed these photos – stay safe – stay healthy – stay positive.
