For five nights at a 50 amp full hookup pull-thru site, we paid about $43 per night, Good Sams Discount and including taxes. The park has weekly and monthly rates. The park did not charge a fee for pets or an extra vehicle.

Ratings (1-5)

Accessibility – 3/5

The campground is easily accessible from interstate I-15. Lanes in the park are well-maintained gravel. The park has pull-thru and back-in sites, as well as tent sites, and can accommodate large rigs. The campground facilities have provisions for Universal access.

Facilities/Amenities – 3/5

The campground offers basic amenities, including full hookups, RV dump station, laundry room, WiFi, free DVD rentals, fire pits, complimentary firewood, horseshoes, bocci ball, restrooms and showers. Grocery stores, restaurants, automotive and other services are nearby in Dillon.

Site quality – 3/5

Sites are basic, including only the full or partial hookups with 50/30/20 amp electric. Sites are level, surfaced with gravel, and have a nice grassy median area with picnic table. Sites are wide enough to accommodate slide-outs and awnings and have decent separation between sites.

Scenic Value – 4/5

The campground is quite scenic – it is in a pastoral rural area several miles outside Dillon with sweeping views of distant mountains and foothills. The campground has a nice park-like atmosphere, but could use some more shade trees.

Location/Isolation – 4/5

The campground feels isolated in that it is several miles outside Dillon in a scenic rural area. This is a quiet campground – highway MT-278 is not heavily traveled and the campground is far enough from I-15 to receive little of the interstate road noise.

Paws Friendliness – 4/5

The campground is pet friendly, has a large grassy pet walk area with cleanup station, but does not have an enclosed pet run. The campground is large enough for a decent walk with your pet. The green grassy sites are very nice for pets.

Overall Rating – 4/5

Overall, the Countryside RV Park is a nice place to stop while exploring around Dillon, fishing the Beaverhead River or visiting nearby Bannack State Park. We would certainly visit again when passing through the area.

Additional info

Internet access

We received a moderate to strong 4G Verizon signal at this campground. We did not need our cellular antenna and booster to improve MiFi hot spot internet access. The campground provided free WiFi, but we did not use this during our stay.

Water Quality

The water at this campground tested moderately hard – we added our water softener to the water filtration stack.
