Description
The 10/83 RV Park is a quiet, nicely-maintained campground with plenty of shade trees and scenic views of bluff and river. Nestled in the scenic valley formed at the confluence of Elm Slough and the South Llano River, the park is a welcome oasis just off Interstate I-10. The park is a nice place to stop and rest while passing through the vastness of west Texas.

Details
We stayed for two-nights at the 10/83 RV Park in early November, 2019.
Under new management and recently renamed, “10/83 RV Park”, the campground may still appear by its previous name, “Junction North Llano River RV Park”, in GPS units or online map sites.
Cost
For two-nights at a 50 amp full hookup gravel pull-thru site, we paid about $37 per night, including Good Sam discount. There were no additional fees for pets or an extra vehicle.

Accessibility – 4/5
The campground is easily accessible from Interstate I-10 and US-377. Lanes in the park are well-maintained gravel. The park has pull-thru and back-in RV sites and can accommodate large rigs. The campground facilities have provisions for Universal access. The campground is secured with gate and access code.
Facilities/Amenities – 4/5
The park amenities include full hookup 50/30 or 30 amp RV sites, tent sites, restrooms, showers, laundry, Wi-Fi, cable TV, propane service, firewood, camp store, playground, and a pet run. Facilities are clean, reasonably well-maintained, but could use renovation.
Site quality – 4/5
RV sites are full hookup with 50/30 or 30 amp electric, picnic table, grill box, fire ring, Wi-Fi, and cable TV. Park sites are pull-thru or back-in, gravel, clean, and most have shade trees. Tent sites are in a shaded area on the banks of Elm Slough.
Scenic Value – 4/5
The campground is open and park-like with many shade trees. The park has beach access to scenic Elm Slough – a branch of the South Llano River – and nice views of bluffs across the water.
Location/Isolation – 4/5
The campground is fairly quiet and peaceful. Sites are large and do not feel crowded.
Paws Friendliness – 5/5
The campground is pet friendly, with cleanup stations and a small enclosed off-leash pet run. The park is large enough for a fair walk with your pet and beach access may allow for a romp in the water.
Overall Rating – 4/5
Overall, the 10/83 RV Park is a relaxing place to stay while passing through west Texas. We enjoyed our short stay and would visit another time.

Internet access
We received a weak 4G Verizon signal at this campground – too weak for reliable internet without boosting (& maybe not even then). The campground provided free WiFi.

The water at this campground tested moderately hard, with detectable nitrates and moderately high alkalinity.
