Welcome to the Switzerland of America – Welcome to Ouray, Colorado! We spent the better part of two weeks at this lovely historic mining town. At 7,792 ft (2,375 m) elevation, Ouray is situated in a valley carved by the Uncompahgre River and is surrounded by the jagged cliffs of the San Juan Mountains. This was our second visit to Ouray, having stayed for a few days in 2010.
Campground Review – Cottonwood RV Park

Bluff Revisited
Since our last update, we completed our three-week stay in Torrey and returned to Bluff, Utah, for a short six-day stay. We were looking forward to spending more time with our good friends, Joyce and Paul Martini.

The Thousand Lakes RV Park is a lovely, quiet, well run campground located on the outskirts of Torrey, Utah. The park has stunning views of red rim rock cliffs, sage brush covered hills and pastoral ranch land. The park is within easy access of Capitol Reef National Park and many other area attractions. Description

Description
The J and H RV Park is a lovely and quiet senior campground located along US Highway 89 in Flagstaff, Arizona. The RV park is beautifully landscaped and has won the National RV Park of the Year award three times. The elevation at the park is around 7000 ft. making for pleasant summer temperatures. Campground Review – Needles KOA
Description
This will be a short campground review as we only stayed at the Needles KOA for one night as a stop-over on our drive to Flagstaff, Arizona. The Needles KOA is conveniently located along old Route 66 just off of Interstate 40 and on the outskirts of the desert community of Needles, California. This is a desert location – as such, temperatures soar in late spring and summer, but can be quite pleasant from fall through early spring. Given the campground’s proximity to the Colorado River, humidity is often quite high. Continue reading

We have stayed at the Cadillac Ranch RV Park, a quiet and clean little campground conveniently in the heart of Bluff.
