(Mid June, 2019) From Trindad, California, we moved on up the coast just a short distance on highway US-101 to Brookings, Oregon. It was a lovely day for a drive, with clear skies at first, then light fog and mist to add interest to the scenery along the way.

Campground Review – Coquille River RV Park, Bandon, Oregon
Description
The Coquille River RV Park is a nice, well-maintained, basic campground located on the scenic shores of the Coquille River and right next to Bandon Marsh National Wildlife Refuge and Bullards Beach State Park. The campground is just off US-101 and is near many attractions around Bandon and along the Southern Oregon Coast. The park is popular with fishermen, in-season, and is close to world-class ocean fishing and crabbing.

The Bandon by the Sea RV Park is a gem of a private campground located on the scenic outskirts of Bandon, Oregon. Cooled by ocean breezes, this nicely landscaped and peaceful park is just a short drive from many attractions around Bandon and along the Southern Oregon Coast. Nearby attractions include amazing sandy beaches, rocky scenic overlooks, historic downtown Bandon, and the Coquille River Lighthouse. This is a very nice park to stay at while exploring the area.

The Beachfront RV Park is a basic campground conveniently located right on the coast at the mouth of the Chetco River in Brookings, Oregon. The park has easy access to sandy beaches, and is near to the marina and many shopping and dining venues. This quiet park is a great place to the enjoy the beach and the many outdoors activities in the area.

(Late May – mid June, 2019) From Truckee we made our way through the Donner Pass and across the central valley to Petaluma, California. After the cold, rain, and snow in the Sierras we welcomed the warm spring temperatures and cooling sea breezes near the coast.
