Surrounded by tall grassy meadows, stands of whispering conifers, and mountain splendor, this is a lovely park from which to explore the many attractions of Banff and the surrounding area.

The park is nicely landscaped and has delightful views of the pastoral Bulkley River Valley and distant forested hills. This is a lovely and relaxing park to stop at while traveling the Yellowhead Highway or for a longer stay in the Houston area.

Toad River Lodge is located at mile 422 of the Alaska Highway in a remote area of stunning natural beauty. The lodge is right next to a small, lovely,  beaver-dammed lake and is surrounded by forested slopes and rugged, snowy mountains. The lodge features a small, big-rig friendly RV park, tent sites, and rental cabins. This is a lovely and relaxing place to stop while travelling the Alaska Highway.
